Description
It is also called:
- French Press
- Piston Coffee Maker
- Plunger coffee maker.
This type of coffee maker was patented in 1852 in France by Mayer and Delforge. It was known as the Chambord coffee maker and did not look much like today's models.
It is recommended for those who seek and know how to distinguish the best notes and aromas of a good coffee.
Contrary to popular belief, this method is easy to prepare.
To obtain that richness of coffee, a medium-coarse or coarse ground bean is recommended.
How to use
1. Heat water in a separate container 2. Add ground coffee to the bottom of the French Press jug 3. Slowly add hot water 4. Let it sit for 5 minutes 5. Place the lid on top and carefully press down
Tips
Use Medium or Medium Coarse Ground Coffee.
