DESCRIPTION
This unique way of decaffeinating our Huupa Natural Decaffeinated Coffee takes place in the high mountains of Veracruz. Internationally recognized standards of quality, traceability and sustainability are used.
- A detailed analysis is first carried out to determine the best conditions for extracting caffeine.
- The coffee beans are then prepared using steam with controlled pressure.
- Caffeine is extracted using a saturated water-based solution of soluble coffee solids under conditions of flow, temperature, pressure and vacuum.
- The beans are slowly dried through a triple drying system and polished.
- Finally, the Natural Decaffeinated Coffee Huupa is roasted over Mesquite wood at our plant in Hermosillo, Sonora, to uniquely roast the flavors and aromas of coffee.
