Description

Coyota is a type of sweet bread, somewhere between an empanada or a cookie, characteristic of the towns of Sonora. It is usually filled with piloncillo, caramel or some type of jam or cream.

What makes our Coyotas different is that they are slowly baked in Mesquite wood. This gives them a very rich and different flavor.

Tips

Heat the Coyota for about 10 seconds in the microwave or about 40-60 seconds on the griddle.

Recipes

Coyota on Firewood with Snow

What a delicious treat! This dessert is a delight, very easy and quick to make, so easy that it is ready in less than 1 minute. Also, I don't mean to brag, but it is the perfect accompaniment to a HUUPA® coffee.

First of all, we recommend any of our Coyotas Baked in Mesquite Wood: Caramel Filled, Caramel Filled with Walnuts or Piloncillo Filled. If you are undecided, we have a mixed package, so you can try them all.

To prepare this recipe:

  1. First, heat the Coyota a La Leña for 10-12 seconds in the microwave or 40-60 seconds on a griddle.

  2. Second, add 1-2 scoops of your favorite snow on top of the Coyota Firewood. Make sure the Coyota is warm enough to slowly melt the snow.

  3. And finally, if you want to look a little more gourmet, cover the snow and coyota with HUUPA® Ranch Caramel or your favorite topping.

Mouth watering! 😍

La Coyoteada: Coyota Milkshake Baked in Mesquite Wood

This is one of those desserts that you don't expect. Something like playing with food when you were a child. You invented all kinds of things 😂

Well, this is one of those things. Someone who was inventing on the ranch came up with the idea of putting one of our Coyotes Baked in Mesquite Wood into the blender, along with all kinds of sweet toppings like jams, creams, etc. And that's how the HUUPA® Coyoteada was born.

Here we tell you how to prepare it at home:

  1. First, break up and place one or two HUUPA® Coyotas a La Leña in a blender.
  2. Second, add the milk of your choice or vanilla ice cream.
  3. Third, add HUUPA® Ranch Caramel depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have.
  4. Fourth (optional), add a shot of espresso or whipping cream.
  5. Blend, serve and enjoy the HUUPA® Coyoteada

You can also prepare it in layers, in a transparent glass, adding layers as you wish and decorating with mint leaves, for example, or pieces of fruit.

Quick tiramisu of Coyota baked in a wood oven

When the craving takes over, sometimes you have to get creative and do better things with less time and other resources.

This is the case: we reinvented the famous tiramisu dessert and gave it the HUUPA® touch with what we had on hand.

  1. First grind the Coyota finely or into larger pieces. As you like.
  2. Second, place the ground Coyota in a clear glass. This will be your first layer.
  3. Third, add some sweet cream or jam of your choice. This would be your second layer.
  4. Add your favorite fruit in pieces (bananas, strawberries, mango, for example). This would be your third layer.
  5. Add a touch of HUUPA® Caramel. If you prefer, you can add the Caramel between layers.
  6. Wash it down with one or two shots of Espresso or an Americano. We recommend our HUUPA® Intense Coffee

You can refrigerate for one or two hours or overnight if you like.
Ready! You can prepare several glasses and serve them at your gatherings.
